This gold/quartz cabochon comes from a mine in Russia. I don't have any more information on the specific area though. It has a nice contrast of gold with white quartz. It has a backing to add stability. It would be a great cabochon to use as a pendant. It weighs 2.46 grams or 12.3 carats. A nice sized cab.
